Leaving The Entertainment Business . . .

I did my LAST SHOW, last night!
I’m retiring my NO GO - NO SHOW list!
(Yep, that’s all the stuff I’d take to do a show.)

I’m done doing shows! Heck, I’ve been doing this for 40 years!
For the most part it’s been a great run with 30 years at theme parks, 10 years on cruise ships and an occasional opening act for head liners. I’ve been there, done that and seen it all! I’m fine, just tired of selling the act.

For now I continue to build, and design rockets. You can see my stuff at oddlrockets.com

(Check out the “Kits” pages)
I’ll still keep my musical saw in the trunk of my car for impromptu performances. Just ask, it won’t take much to get me to play it.

A  BIG THANKS  to all those who inspired me and those who hired me!

Forest Park Show, January 16, 2016

That's a LOT of pumpkin pie!
Dinner was included at a recent show at the Forest Park show in North Fort Myers. I'd never seen this much pumpkin pie in one place!

A great show for some very nice people.

Background Show Music Production

On the Cruise Ships I work with a live band.
My "Land" shows are backed up by computer driven music or MIDI.

This is my desktop music production studio.
The band is played by the sequencer shown on the computer screen. It's a little like a modern day player piano. The computer triggers what notes I've programmed at the right time.
Instrument selection, volumes, velocities, reverb and pan position are all written into the sequence one by one.
To the right is my sound module. There are over 1,000 sampled and synth instruments and 60 drum sets in that small box.
My small MIDI keyboard is played and the information recorded in real time on the computer.

Many entertainers buy their music pre-recorded. I'm not able to do this. My instrumentation, vocal range and original songs require custom, one-of-a-kind arrangements.
My show music may not be as polished as some pre-produced music, but they are all me!
